The real way to get a good Google search ranking is???
I am constantly reading SEO articles and newsletters seeking perfect SEM process, in the case of search engine optimization and search engine marketing, knowledge really is power! Google, bing, yahoo are always making ground on improving their search engine indexing strategies, meta tags used to be the achillies heel in a websites search ranks, how do you get better results in todays ever changing SEO world? Many webmasters will tell different stories on the "MAGICAL SEO METHOD" - i can get you to #1 Search marketing.
Do we really know how sites like Amazon and Wikipedia dominate the front page of Google? Well no-one has the exact answer to that but i know a few good tricks of the trade to help you get there, Are you starting to get curious yet?
The #1 Secret to Maximum Google Results is???
It all now lies in the power of your own internal link structures, The internal links within your own website can have a CRUSHING impact on your search engine rankings. This is especially true if you have a large, authoritative website like amazon, government websites, wikipedia and so-on.
You can increase the individual rank of web pages within your site simply by adding the right links in strategic places, theres a world of tools around that can help you do this too but thats another blog post. See Google, bing and yahoo's webmaster tools / toolkits, in fact just a few simple tweaks here and there can give you a huge boost in search result rankings. So i guess one answer to the question is this:
"you need to structure your website for prime Google rankings using the power of your own internal link structure, well placed links and keywords mean a BIG TICK from googlebot!".
1) Start with your site wide navigation:
So lets give an example, let's say you're building a website, firstly you would break your site down into broad-based categories or themes. These will be centered around what people are already actively searching for in Google, bing, yahoo and alike, the best method here is to ALWAYS and i mean ALWAYS think of keywords people would type into a search engine to find you! So if you're selling web design services, examples may be:
- Building website designs
- Webdesign services
- Cheap web design
- Business website services
- Affordable webdesign
- Award winning website examples
- Web design services
- Website hosting services
Those categories would then makeup the keywords to your site-wide navigation that people see on the left-hand side of every page of your website. You can go further by using keyword tools to analyse those words and then break those down again into the highest rated keyword by search volume, the anchor text in these links should coincide with the keyword phrases you want to rank for. This will funnel traffic to the most important pages of your website your site like older women to the entrance of a Ricky martin concert!!
However, we also need to keep in mind that Google can read page design so much better than most people realize or give credit for, much more emphasis is placed on the "body content" than on a webpages navigation area. Google is no longer giving the weight to links within the navigation and footer areas of your website as in the past, so for those that scatter keywords all over the footers of their websites FORGET IT!
There is some great inside tips on how to focus Google on the body content as well, but i wont go into that today its a more advanced method and still possibly a trick of mine i don't think many know! But you need to take things a step further with what is called contextual links...
2) Put Contextual Links in the Body of your webpage
Contextual links will send more link emphasis and ranking power to those particular pages. this is the secret ingredient of sites like Wikipedia and Amazon Facebook and so forth. They use internal linking extensively, Sure they also have a lot of incoming links, ridiculous amounts of traffic and sole web development teams but the main reason they dominate the front page of Google is that they have created highly optimized and extremely powerful internal linking structures.
Now the final tip i'll give away today and possibly forever because you'll all now do your own SEO and i'll be out of business !! hahahaha well maybe not but:
"remember the higher on the page you put your contextual links, that the more key weight they will carry in the search engines and their algorithms"
As i said earlier in this blog, Googles new "CAFFINE" now places a higher value on webpage content links that are higher in the page. No more keyword scattering in the footer of your webpages its pointless! A contextual link in the second paragraph will hold MUCH more weight than a link in the footer.
So i hope this helps, got to run friends,
